Privacy notice
This notice is provided by the data controller Mehmet Remzi Torni under Article 10 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and, where applicable, Articles 13–14 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), to inform the companies using our services, their staff and catalog visitors. During scanning the camera image is processed only momentarily on the visitor's device for matching; it is never sent to our servers or recorded.
Where content uploaded by members contains third parties' personal data (for example a person's image), the member who uploads it is responsible for informing those persons and having a valid legal basis; ImageWake acts as a data processor for that content.
Personal data is collected electronically and by automated means through the sign-up, payment and contact forms, cookies and the records created while the service is used.
Personal data may be shared, only for the purposes above and to the extent necessary, with the payment institution iyzico for payments, our server hosting provider, Google (Google Workspace) for sending email, Cloudflare for content delivery and security, analytics and advertising providers if you consent, and competent public authorities upon request. Because some of these providers' servers are located abroad, such transfers are made with appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, as required by Article 9 of the KVKK and, where applicable, Chapter V of the GDPR.
Personal data is kept for as long as the purpose requires and for the periods set by law: account and content data for the duration of the membership; payment and invoice records for 10 years under tax and commercial law; cookie consent records for 3 years. After that, the data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.
Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed and to request information about it, to learn the purpose of processing and whether data is used accordingly, to know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it is transferred, to request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, to request erasure or destruction under the conditions of Article 7, to request that third parties be notified of these actions, to object to a result against you arising solely from automated analysis, and to claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing. If the GDPR applies to you, you also have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection (Articles 15–21), the right to withdraw consent at any time, and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
You can send your request, together with information that verifies your identity, in writing to the address above, to our registered email (KEP) address, or from the email address registered in our system to [email protected]. Requests are answered free of charge within 30 days at the latest, depending on their nature. If your request is rejected or you find the answer insufficient, you may lodge a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board.
Data security
All communication between the site and your browser uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS/TLS). Passwords are stored as irreversible hashes; card details are never kept on our servers, as payments are taken by iyzico. Server access is limited to authorised persons and data is backed up regularly.
Cookie policy
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. ImageWake uses necessary cookies so the site works securely and correctly. Analytics and marketing cookies are loaded only with your explicit consent, after you allow them.

Necessary and functional cookies are based on Articles 5/2-c (performance of a contract) and 5/2-f (legitimate interest) of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and, for users in the EU, Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR. Analytics and marketing cookies are based on your explicit consent (KVKK 5/1, GDPR 6(1)(a)); refusing does not prevent you from using the site. Data collected by these cookies may be transferred to the providers' servers abroad in line with Article 9 KVKK. To exercise your rights under Article 11 KVKK or the GDPR, contact [email protected].
You can change your preferences or withdraw consent at any time via the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of the page. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings; if you block necessary cookies, some features such as sign-in may not work.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from the account settings in your dashboard. Deleting it removes your account, your catalogs and the photos and videos you uploaded from the server; payment records subject to statutory retention are kept for the required period.
