How to Add Video to a Bathroom and Sanitaryware Catalog

Sanitaryware, tap and bathroom furniture manufacturers use printed catalogs heavily at dealers, in showrooms and in meetings with installers and architects. Adding video to the product photos lets you show how a basin is installed, how a concealed cistern is fitted or the features of a tap, right from the same page.

How does it work?

The customer opens the QR code in the catalog once with their phone camera and allows camera access. They then point the phone at any product photo; the phone recognises it and plays the video linked to that product. No app is needed. Even in a catalog with hundreds of products, a single QR code is enough; you don't need to print a separate code for each product.

Which videos can you add?

• Installation: step-by-step fitting of basins, toilets, concealed cisterns and shower systems.
• Product features: thermostatic taps, soft-close seats, easy-clean surfaces and similar features in action.
• Installed in a bathroom: how the product looks in different bathroom designs.
• Care and cleaning: short how-to videos for end users.

Step by step

1. Check the photos: Photos of white products on plain backgrounds can look alike. Check them with the free image test before printing; printing the product code and dimensions near the photo makes them easier to tell apart.
2. Prepare the videos: Keep installation videos to 1–2 minutes; 30–60 seconds is enough for product presentations.
3. Match them in the panel: Upload a video for each product photo or add a Drive or Dropbox link.
4. Add the QR code to the print: Put the QR code with a short prompt on the cover and at the start of each series.

No reprint for a new collection

When a series is updated or the installation method changes, you only change the video in the panel. Catalogs at dealers and in showrooms show the current video without reprinting.

For dealers, installers and architects

Installers reach the fitting video directly from the product photo, which reduces faulty installations and service calls. Architects and dealers can examine products from the catalog on their own. In the panel you track how many times each product was viewed and in which cities it drew interest.

Letting customers reach you

When the video ends, “Ask on WhatsApp” and “Call” buttons can appear. The message includes which product it came from, so size, colour or dealer questions reach you directly.
