Add Video to a Car Brochure and Parts Catalog

In the automotive industry, printed brochures and spare parts catalogs are still among the most used sales tools: they are handed out in showrooms, sent to dealers and distributed at trade fairs. Adding video to the photos in these catalogs lets you show a car's interior, driving footage or how a part is fitted, right from the same page.

How does it work?

The customer opens the QR code in the catalog once with their phone camera and allows camera access. They then point the phone at any photo in the catalog; the phone recognises the photo and plays the video linked to that car or part. No app is needed, everything runs in the browser. Even with a hundred products in the catalog, a single QR code is enough; you don't need to print a separate code on every page.

Which videos can you add?

  • Car brochure: exterior design, interior, boot space, driving and equipment presentation.
  • Spare parts catalog: fitting steps, compatible models, product comparisons.
  • Accessories catalog: the product fitted on the car and in use.
  • Service and maintenance booklet: scheduled maintenance steps, short training videos for technicians.

Step by step

  1. Choose the photos: Check the photos for your catalog with the free image test before printing. Detailed, high-contrast photos are recognised faster.
  2. Prepare the videos: 30–90 second videos shot in portrait play full screen on the phone.
  3. Match them in the panel: Upload the video next to each photo or paste a Google Drive or Dropbox link.
  4. Add the QR code to the print: Put the QR code on the cover or first page with a short prompt such as “Point your phone at a photo to watch the video”.

No reprint when the model year changes

For a new model year, campaign or equipment change, you only update the video in the panel. The printed catalog and the QR code stay the same, and the catalogs already at your dealers keep showing the current video.

For dealer and service teams

The same catalog can be used to train dealer sales staff and service teams. Because the fitting or maintenance video is linked to the photo of the part, the right information is found without searching. In the panel you see how many times each car or part was viewed, and from which city and device it was scanned.

Letting customers reach you

When the video ends, “Ask on WhatsApp” and “Call” buttons can appear on screen. The WhatsApp message includes which product it came from, so test drive or parts requests reach you directly.
